Press Release Summary = ESET Distribution becomes the first and the only antivirus vendor to offer customers renewal options through retail packs.
Press Release Body = Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 15, 2007: ESET Distribution Middle East, the regional business development centre of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, today announced the launch of the NOD32 renewal retail pack in the Middle East making it the first and the only antivirus vendor to offer customers renewal options through retail purchase. The new NOD32 Renewal Retail Packs will be available at all ESET retail dealers and distributors and is priced 30% lower than the first year license fee.
\"We are happy to introduce the new NOD32 renewal retail pack which will benefit both our customers and our channel partners. Previously, NOD32 users could only renew their subscription online by using a credit card. When the subscription was about to expire, the user would receive a warning notification on his computer providing him with a link to the ESET website where he could renew online. However, if he did not wish to renew online, he would have to opt for a full first year retail pack from a retailer. The NOD32 renewal retail pack will now offer the user an alternative option for renewal where he can buy the pack from a retailer,\" says Mr. Neo Neophytou, Managing Director, ESET Distribution Middle East.
However, states Mr. Neophytou, looking at the market trends in the Middle East, ESET found that not all users have credit cards and those users that have credit cards are still uncomfortable to use it online due to security issues. "Hence we decided to offer them the renewal pack option where they could buy it directly from a retailer. The NOD32 renewal retail pack will be available at all our dealers and distributors and is priced 30% lower than the first year license fee. This new introduction will also benefit our distributors and retail partners who have been instrumental in our success by providing them a share of the revenues from renewal pack sales which was not available to them before," adds Mr. Neophytou.
The NOD32 Renewal Retail pack is targeted at NOD32 home users and small business users, who would like to renew their existing ESET NOD32 licenses. This renewal pack will offer NOD32 users convenience of buying from a reseller instead of using their credit card to renew online. The NOD32 renewal retail pack will be available in a DVD size envelope with the renewal license information inside and will be available across the Middle East at a retail price of US$ 29 per license.
